“Quiet Battles” By Phoebe Strachan

The Hidden Struggles Women Carry and the Courage to Rise Again

PHOEBE STRACHAN

She Knows What It Means to Keep Going

Phoebe Strachan is a South African author, speaker, and cancer survivor from Eldorado Park, Johannesburg. She spent over two decades navigating the corporate world and rising through the ranks at some of South Africa’s most respected organisations, including FNB, while privately carrying battles that almost no one around her could see.

Her life journey includes depression, grief, psychiatric admissions, pregnancy loss, and a cancer diagnosis at the age of 46. Through it all, she learned what it means to keep going even when strength feels out of reach.

Her debut memoir, Quiet Battles, is an honest reflection of a woman who found the courage to put down what she had been carrying alone and discovered that millions of women were carrying the same weight.

Phoebe speaks with the authority of lived experience, the warmth of a woman who has sat in the dark and found her way back, and the honesty of someone who understands that healing is not always neat or predictable.

Her work creates space for women to feel seen, understood, and strengthened.
